Job title: Lead Planner - Construction

Accountabilities
- Oversight, monitoring and verification of contractor's schedule, schedule performance, progress measurement and reporting.
- Develop KPIs by extracting information from contractor's reports, deliverables to aid decision making.
- Understands the key project drivers, implements project planning and scheduling procedures. Coordinates and facilitates all planning sessions and development of plans for Project teams.
- The prime objective of planning is to improve project performance by anticipating issues, avoiding negative situations and reducing the frequency of poor outcomes. Embedded robust planning management practices have been shown to contribute to the consistent delivery of successful projects.
- Provide overall construction schedule, progress measurement, and change management expertise to the Onshore Project. Responsible for overseeing contractor's area schedule, KPI's, interfaces and weekly and monthly reporting and advises any potential schedule issues and provides guidance on corrective actions and measures to mitigate any adverse trends.
- Monitor closely construction progress and highlight any delay on critical construction activities and its impact on project key milestones.
- Assist Construction Division Manager to establish an effective schedule and progress tracking tools.
- Carry out detailed schedule and progress analysis and provide forecast on critical construction scope of work.
- Coordinate closely with other EPC1 Lead Planners and EPC1 Head of Planning to ensure schedule alignment between areas as well as between construction and pre-commissioning & commissioning.
- Regular progress monitoring by liaising with site construction management team and contractors teams in all construction areas. Development of KPIs by using construction data for efficient tracking of all site construction activities. Analyze schedule and progress trends reported by EPC Contractor.
- Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests related to schedule, progress, KPIs and reports. Facilitate periodic meetings with contractors to review schedule and progress.
- Review contractor's construction progress, productivity, manpower, quantities on a weekly basis and produce KPIs for PMT review. Adhere to Company project procedures and periodically review and improve. Liaise regularly with the engineering and procurement team to monitor alignment with the critical engineering deliverables and procured items.
- Review EPC Contractor's progress reports; verify and endorse claimed progress. Review and endorse schedule and progress baselines and forecasts prepared by EPC Contractor. Review EPC Contractor's project control procedures (home office and field control procedures) to ensure that Company's requirements are being met.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering or construction, alternatively relevant experience in oil and gas industry.
- Minimum of 10 years of major EPC project experience within the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Good knowledge of LNG construction.
- Experience in Primavera P6 scheduling tools, Power BI, advanced excel.
- Knowledge of working with large construction data to produce KPI's.
- Expert knowledge of developing schedules; understanding of baseline, actual and forecast plans and progress data.
- Knowledge of WBS and rules of credit for progress measurement in all phases of project.
- Team player, flexible and experienced of working in a diverse team environment.
- Highly numerate and effective in challenging contractor's data.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP).
