Connexa Recruitment are working in partnership with an award-winning International Architectural Design practice who are looking for an Lead Specification Coordinator in there head office in Dubai.
Job Summary:
- This is a global role and will oversee specifications across all disciplines company wide (Architecture, Interior Design & Structures). It will include any format type such as (but not limited to) CSI & NBS.
- Produce & manage specifications across multiple projects. Ensuring all remain consistent and in line with Client/ Regional need. The Specifications should be written in such a way to mitigate risk through Tender & Construction. They should also be written in a way to demand the quality of site implementation expected by the company, protecting the design intent and technical excellence.
- Oversee & support in the BIM Execution of specification mapping/ classifications with the ability to navigate Client expectations in relation to BIM classifications.
- Form part of the Technical Team and will provide reviews/ input/ comment on all Standards Drawings ensuring that the content communicates that of the specifications and in line with manufacturers/ regional guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Support in brief development & navigation of client expectations
- Producing Specifications
- Overseeing/ Managing all specifications across all disciplines company wide
- Remaining current with Industry/ Regional needs
- Managing Classifications within BIM Models
- Red pen review of project documents
- Input into company drawing standards
- Liaising with suppliers on behalf of project teams. Obtaining technical requirements & samples.
- Assist with Post Contract product submittal reviews that are not compliant with our specifications but being
- enforced by either the Contractor or Client as acceptable.
- Absorb lessons learnt on specification from projects and feed these back into our office standards and project specifications.
- Supporting in company CPD's
- Support Digital team in ensuring the company are utilizing the most appropriate/ efficient softwares for specifications writing and BIM mapping.
- Assist senior management team in providing Specification & Classification guidance in order to submit fee proposals.
- Review fee proposals to understand and be fully aware of scope and deliverables
- Provide Tender Clarifications in relation to Specification and Classification.
- Attend BID Technical Presentations to showcase company approach.
- Attend Post Tender Interviews to Navigate any Specification/ Classification discussions with potential clients.
