Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
The L&D Specialist will be responsible for identifying training needs, designing learning content, delivering training sessions, and developing comprehensive training plans to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees. This role also encompasses managing and expanding our digital learning offerings to ensure accessible and effective learning experiences for all staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify skill gaps and training requirements aligned with business goals.
Design and develop engaging training modules and instructional materials for in-person and digital platforms.
Facilitate and deliver training sessions and workshops to diverse groups of employees.
Develop and maintain annual training plans and schedules in collaboration with departmental heads to ensure timely and relevant training interventions.
Manage and enhance the organization's Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure it effectively serves as a platform for digital learning.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to create and curate educational content that meets the needs of the workforce.
Manage training events delivered by external providers, ensuring seamless integration with internal goals and schedules.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with external training vendors, negotiating contracts and terms of service to align with organizational objectives and budget constraints.
Oversee the logistical arrangements for external training sessions, including venue selection, participant registration, equipment setup, and post-event evaluations.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using relevant KPIs and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in corporate training and instructional design to incorporate innovative strategies into the L&D function.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
CPTD/APTD or CIPD L&D is preferred.
Proven experience as a trainer, instructional designer, or similar role.
Strong understanding of learning theories and instructional design models.
Proficient in using e-learning platforms, authoring tools, and digital resources.
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
