Job Purpose:
The Learning & Development (L&D) Officer supports and enhances the bank's learning and development initiatives, facilitating the growth and skill enhancement of employees to meet organizational goals and regulatory standards. This role involves managing training logistics, eLearning administration, reporting, and employee engagement in training programs, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver impactful learning experiences.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support annual skills and learning needs assessments in collaboration with HR and department heads.
- Manage the end-to-end induction process for new joiners, including sending invites, booking training rooms, organizing induction materials, conducting office tours, coordinating with presenters, arranging catering, logistics and program evaluation.
- Send welcome emails from CBI Academy for new joiners and conduct product induction sessions.
- Track the completion of mandatory onboarding eLearning courses as well as other mandatory eLearning completions and escalate as needed to ensure compliance.
- Oversee and maintain the LMS to ensure all staff details, courses, pathways, and new joiner updates, exit staff are current. Publish courses, create learning pathways, and monitor completion rates on LMS. Act as the primary contact for internal support and troubleshooting on the eLearning platform.
- Upload training records on LMS and manage escalation emails for incomplete training.
- Manage logistics for in-person and virtual training sessions, including sending invites, tracking attendance, and maintaining records for compliance and audits.
- Roll out the Emirates Institute of Finance training calendar, enroll candidates, monitor attendance, and send escalation emails for absentees.
- Manage the end-to-end Brown Bag sessions, including sending invites, booking training rooms, organizing materials, catering, IT support and program evaluation.
- Manage thinking lab design, maintenance and booking
- Coordinate job shadowing programs, coaching, mentoring and employee development plans in terms of completion tracking and escalation
- Support the Ethraa UAE national program by managing candidate registration, orientation, training monitoring, and program closure.
- Build and maintain relationships with external training providers, managing contracts, course schedules, and feedback.
- Collect and analyze training evaluation data and provide regular reports on engagement, usage, and impact to management.
- Assess training effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure alignment with regulatory standards and bank policies.
- Maintain L&D MIS and record physical attendance sheets for audits.
- Ensure timely invoice payments by arranging for invoices in the bank's format, raising Purchase Requests (PRs), following up till payout and managing corporate card reconciliations
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures related to performance management and learning.
- Stay updated on industry trends and recommend new learning methodologies and tools to enhance the bank's training offerings.
- Promote a culture of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) by encouraging ongoing learning initiatives across the organization.
- Assist in creating, updating, and delivering training materials, including handouts, manuals, and presentations.
- Develop and refine in-house course materials to address evolving organizational needs.
- Provide guidance and support to line managers in addressing specific training needs within their teams.
- Conduct research on new training technologies and methodologies to ensure the bank's learning programs remain current and effective.
- Undertake additional L&D duties as directed by the Head of Learning & Development and L&D Manager.
Education:
Bachelor/ Master's degree.
