Job Description

Job Summary:

Play a pivotal role in managing complex legal cases through reviewing files, preparing detailed Statements of Claim, and ensuring ongoing communication with relevant stakeholders. Represent the Company in all legal matters and provide legal advice and guidance where needed.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assigned some complex cases, study files and prepare Statements of Claim for the relevant Court/Tribunal. Ensure continuing contact with the person from whom the case was received (or who is personally familiar with the people and history involved).
  • Formulate agreements for the settlement of debts and other simple-form contracts and board resolutions.
  • Attend all court sessions and conduct simpler investigations and simple legal advice to Sales Representatives.
  • Follow up Writ of Summons with Police Department/Clerk of the Court and ensure defendant advised in time for all hearings.
  • Receive Court judgments and apply for execution through Police Department.
  • Liaise with Notaries to complete Power of Attorney formalities, and formalities concerning real estate.
  • Liaise with Chamber of Commerce for the protesting of unpaid promissory notes , and the filing of miscellaneous legal documents including annual renewal of Chamber memberships.
  • Liaise with Ministry of Commerce for the issuance, and renewal, of company registrations, and for the registration of Articles of Association, and annual returns.
  • Maintain computerized records, case and administrative files in good order and on a daily basis to ensure that they contain current records of each case handled.
  • Follow up of formation and registration of companies with Ministry of Commerce and SAGIA.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experiences & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law.
  • Ability to find information/books/references for the information required to tasks.
  • Ability to cope up with the new law regulations.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of demonstrable expertise in law.
  • PC literacy with exceptional proficiency in MS Office.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
