Job PurposeJobholders at this level are experienced professionals capable of conducting work with general directions. They are primarily concerned with developing solutions to challenges which require some analysis to understand and resolve, and addressing issues escalated from more junior levels. They undertake complex operational activities including leading the development of a negotiation strategy as well as managing the collection, assessment and study of complex legal cases. The job holder also handles the representation of ZATCA in court hearings in front of judicial bodies.Roles And Responsibilities Draft ZATCA legal lawsuit management policies, guidelines and standard model forms Assist in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of legal systems, processes and practices by researching global best practices and trends Develop of relevant templates for lawsuit management services related to all ZATCA functions Assist in the development of a negotiating strategy in conjunction with internal stakeholders to effectively manage legal cases H andle the continuous update of lawsuit management database systems ensuring request logs are always recent Conduct needed preliminary evaluations to assist in determining the severity and urgency of collected litigation cases posed against ZATCA Assist in the representation of ZATCA in cases raised in favor or against the authority before judicial bodies, committees and governmental authorities and ensure all needed documents are available to support case Prepare settlements to negotiate with employees and external entities involved in lawsuits against ZATCA (excluding settlements related to audit and collection) Archive all judgments from lawsuits won by ZATCA for future reference Search for outsourced legal experts that can provide additional legal advice when needed in order to manage internal and external non-(tax, zakat, and customs) litigation cases Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly Perform other duties as requested Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes Job Qualifications And RequirementsA minimum of 4 years of relevant experienceBachelor s degree in Legal Studies or equivalent is required
