What you'll do:
Title Investigation:
- Conduct thorough investigations to verify the legal ownership of properties.
- Identify any outstanding legal issues, such as liens or easements, that may affect the transaction.
- Review title insurance policies to ensure coverage and address any discrepancies.
Document Preparation:
- Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts of sale, transfer deeds, and mortgage documents.
- Ensure all documents accurately reflect the terms agreed upon by the buyer and seller.
- Coordinate with attorneys and other professionals to address any legal issues that may arise.
Financial Management:
- Coordinate financial transactions, including the transfer of funds between parties.
- Calculate and collect taxes, fees, and other financial obligations associated with the transaction.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Legal Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing real estate transactions.
- Ensure all transactions comply with legal requirements, including zoning laws, building codes, and tax regulations.
- Address any legal issues or disputes that may arise during the transaction process.
Communication:
- Act as a liaison between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction.
- Keep all parties informed of the progress of the transaction and address any questions or concerns that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of all communication and transactions.
Problem Solving:
- Identify and resolve any problems or disputes that may arise during the transaction process.
- Use legal knowledge and problem-solving skills to find creative solutions to complex issues.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as attorneys and real estate agents, to ensure successful transaction outcomes.

What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in law, real estate, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification or licensure as a conveyancer or real estate paralegal (preferred).
- Previous experience working in real estate law or conveyancing.
- Strong understanding of real estate law, including title issues, contracts, and financing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in real estate transactions.
