Role Overview:You will manage multiple localization testing projects, working closely with our in-house Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) team and external partners. Your goal is to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Youll use your knowledge of localization testing and project management skills to solve daily problems and suggest improvements for our workflows. This role involves working closely with internal R&D teams, Product Owners, Project Managers, and vendors, so you need to understand the software localization process and outsourcing.
Youll be part of the Language Services team, reporting on your projects, and ensuring standards, best practices, and expectations are met. Strong organizational skills are crucial to manage multiple projects and a positive attitude toward continuous improvement is important.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend Product Development meetings to understand project needs and deadlines.
- Analyze projects to define scope, budget, and risks.
- Create project timelines and assign tasks to the internal team and agencies.
- Provide clear instructions to ensure everyone meets project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and handle any major issues.
- Communicate effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
- Work closely with external partners and internal teams to maintain quality.
- Use tools and technology to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Act as the main contact for all stakeholders throughout the project.
- Keep track of project progress and provide regular updates on milestones and issues.
- Report on project outcomes and lead reviews to find ways to improve.
- 2 years of experience in the localization industry.
- Strong understanding of the localization process and testing needs.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented and excellent communication skills in English.
- Formal training in Project Management.
- Experience as a localization QA tester.
- Education in language or computer science/engineering.
- Experience in a fast-paced global environment.
- Knowledge of current translation industry trends.
- Fluency in another language (French, German, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean) is a plus.
