Your Role

As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be based in our fulfillment center in Dubai CommerCity and report to the Logistics Supervisor. Your role involves managing daily logistics operations in different shifts and providing the best experience to our clients and partners. You will be expected to have exceptional operations and troubleshooting skills, and leverage your experience and expertise in warehouse and transportation management systems. Your core responsibilities revolve around:

  • Management of daily operations - route planning, dispatch wave planning, and prioritizing safety in handling shipments both under the roof and on the road
  • Planning and executing morning dispatch wave plans for delivery associates and managing the floor in safe manner
  • Owning the logistics delivery experience KPIs: Success rate (delivery and pickup), Optimize truck utilizations, Improve SPR (shipments per route), Cost per order
  • Coordinating with outsource head count providers and managing the hiring, on-boarding, and training of associates
  • Continuously optimizing the operations processes and enhancing the overall productivity
  • Working with a TMS (transportation management system) partner and optimizing the route planning process
  • Identifying the opportunities in the logistics flow and coming up with the projects to optimize cost and improve speed of delivery

Our main objective is getting the products to the customer in the most efficient and effective manner with minimal touches and interactions.

Who we look for

This role is for someone who has strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as there will be interaction with cross-functional teams on a daily basis. Ideally, we're looking for someone who has:

  • A Bachelor's degree preferably in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field
  • 2 to 3 years experience in logistics operations
  • Operations team management experience ( 10 associates and large pool of drivers)
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills in using and managing data, deep dives, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Solid hands-on expertise in using Excel spreadsheets and formulas, Google sheets, Google forms, creating process flows, etc.
  • Hands on experience working on any transportation management system
