United Feed Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain process
- Oversee all aspects of logistics, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of products
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and shipments
- Manage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customers
- Ensure compliance with all transportation and safety regulations
- Develop and train a team of logistics staff to ensure smooth operations
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to make strategic recommendations for improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics management
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in logistics software and systems
- Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong knowledge in SAP
- Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
