Logistics Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and distribution of products. The role ensures that warehouse activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and Leadership:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.

- Provide training and development for warehouse personnel.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

2. Inventory Management:

- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock.

- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations.

- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.

3. Receiving and Shipping:

- Oversee the receiving of incoming shipments and ensure proper documentation.

- Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders.

- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.

4. Warehouse Operations:

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment and machinery.

- Implement and improve warehouse processes and workflows.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and maintain records of inventory, shipments, and receipts.

- Generate reports on warehouse performance and productivity.

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of any discrepancies or issues.

6. Customer Service:

- Address and resolve any issues or complaints from customers or vendors.

- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through efficient and effective warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

- Education:

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.

- Experience:

- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.

- Skills:

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment.

- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
