OVERVIEW OF POSITION
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated LS Retail and IT Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems and infrastructure.
ROLES & RESPOSIBILITIES
LS Retail POS Support:
- Provide technical support for LS Retail POS systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor POS performance and address system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve complex POS-related problems.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure POS systems are secure and up to date.
- Train users on POS functionality and best practices
IT Administration:
- Procure, manage and administer various IT systems, including servers, networks, and peripherals.
- Procure and manage licenses for internal software applications [Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Power BI, Business Apps, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Suite, etc.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
- Manage warranty and asset tracking for hardware and software assets.
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliable operation through proactive maintenance.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across IT infrastructure.
- Ensure data backups are performed regularly and securely stored.
Technical Support:
- Respond to IT support requests from employees, diagnose issues, and provide timely resolution.
- Escalate technical problems to appropriate teams or vendors as necessary.
- Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Assist in planning and executing IT projects and initiatives.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in IT support or a related field.
- Proven experience in providing IT support, preferably in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, specifically printers/scanners.
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail software applications, and common hardware components.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with retail staff and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of data security and privacy practices.
- Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Azure.
