Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for evaluating potential M&A opportunities and perform research efforts & financial analysis and provide initial strategic fit comparisons. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedure
Job Responsibility
- Evaluate potential M&A opportunities and perform research efforts & financial analysis and provide initial strategic fit comparisons
- Prepare full financial modeling and valuation analysis for each deal applying common and generally accepted valuation methodologies (e.g. DCF, multiples, IRR)
- Oversee, lead, and collaborate with internal and external parties to support management to bolster executing M&A deals while ensuring maximum returns for the Group
- Analyze the financial impact of the investments/divestments on the Group financial statements before execution of M&A activities
- Leverage and use commonly known supporting investment platforms (i.e Bloomberg, Capital IQ) to enable the development of business cases/valuation
- Advise stc's subsidiaries in the valuation work on potential targets
- Develop and continuously update a M&A/valuation data base that includes (i) trading and transactions multiples of regional and international peers in the telecom and ICT sector, (ii) WACCs parameters, (iii) information on latest deals announced, etc
- Actively participate in the due diligence exercise for the entire M&A cycle: from DD advisors selection to the deal closing
