Title: Corporate Services Engineer
General Description
This role will enable ACTION's Corporate Services department to be more productive by providing a wide range of administrative support functions requiring a broad and extensive knowledge of the company's practices, policies, and procedures. The role will plan, coordinate, and direct a comprehensive range of support services such as but not limited to front desk administration, facilities maintenance, fleet management and its operations, and represent the Company to external bodies where required.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Comply with all Quality, health and safety policies and procedures across the fleet & facilities.
- Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements.
- Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper hygiene and cleaning procedures.
- Supervise receptionists in the front desk administration and managing corporate events.
- Implement project budgets and timeframes in alignment with the corporate objectives.
- Lead cost saving initiatives in all the corporate services activities across all day-to-day activities.
- Liaise with the HR team regarding the onshore and offshore training and medical requirements.
- Ensure timely renewals of vehicles insurance, maintenance and registration.
- Manage overall service delivery including internal and out-sourced services (e.g. Car leasing companies, Fuel card providers and tire suppliers).
- Plan upgrades in facilities and offer refurbishments when needed.
- Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors.
- Handle all third-party contracts, ensure all contracts are updated on time.
- Keep the facilities up to standard and follow maintenance protocol as needed with mechanical and electrical repairs, timely preventive maintenance & service schedule to ensure minimum downtime of the vehicles.
- Establish robust Fleet Management systems; implement schedules, administer all company vehicles in all regions of operations.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements as per mandated by the government and local law.
- Supervise staff accommodation & labor camps in all regions of operations, ensure compliance with the local government regulations.
Qualification Requirements
- BSc of engineering, preferably maintenance engineering.
- A postgraduate degree can be an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Engineering.
- Valid driving UAE license.
- Abreast of local legislation and policies.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, good problem-solving skills and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English, Arabic would be advantageous.
- Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
- Ability to take direction, work independently and in teams with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to independently carry out government/ ministerial related transactions.
- Excellent teamwork with good communication and work effectively across variety of internal and external stakeholders.
