Job Description

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan and strategy for trucks, trailers, and pool vehicles to maximize availability, minimize breakdown, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Oversee the corrective maintenance activities and repairs and ensure timely completion of any corrective maintenance.
  • Develop a plan to carry out Fahes inspection within the Turn Around Time (TAT) to optimize availability of the fleet.
  • Monitor regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
  • Oversee the prompt and efficient resolution of emergency breakdowns across the entire fleet.
  • Develop and review a comprehensive database of all maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and expenses.
  • Generate regular reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs, and trends and use them to generate guided decisions for overall optimization of maintenance operations.
  • Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on safety or performance.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of required spare parts and all related maintenance services while optimizing costs.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with authorized external service providers and vendors for specialized maintenance services.
  • Continuously develop cross functional collaboration on ensuring the procurement of fleet based on extensive operational & technical specification.
  • Ensure proper storage and sufficient supply of Transportation maintenance spare parts and tools to ensure the availability of fleets for transportation operations.
  • Oversee and coordinate the handling of scrap items, ensuring their appropriate storage in the designated scrap area and proper disposal thru the scrap policy.
  • Establish and develop a training program to upskill team members of maintenance operations for operational enhancement.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of team members performance and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that continuously evolves based on business requirements
  • Consistently identify and implement process enhancements to improve the overall efficiency of Transportation Maintenance Operations.
  • Develop a strategic plan for the staff transportation and establish an effective communication system to regularly disseminate the schedule to the relevant operational units, ensuring punctual and efficient service.

Requirements::

  • 6+ years experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Good communication skills. Bilingual (Arabic & English) will be a plus
  • Good in Microsoft Office
  • Qatar Driving License
  • Must have strong technical knowledge in assessing/diagnosing of heavy equipment (trucks, trailers, breakdown etc.)
