job brief:we are seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician to manage the upkeep and repair operations in our facilities. as Maintenance Technician responsibilities include scheduling regular maintenance, managing repair activities, and ensuring the optimal working condition of our premises. should demonstrate good organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a keen understanding of maintenance planning and operations.the ideal candidate will have proven experience in maintenance coordination, be familiar with health and safety regulations, and be able to ensure efficient utilization of maintenance resources.the Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing work and occasionally monitoring staff at work. they need to know enough about the task to make the right resources available and spot potential problems. hence, some basic building and equipment repair work experience is essential.responsibilities:work closely with managerial staff like the Senior HK Supervisor, General Manager, Construction Director and Maintenance Manager to incorporate and execute the organization s weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance plancommunicate with service providers, vendors, and maintenance contractors to schedule repairs, servicing, preventive maintenance, and other maintenance required to keep the company s physical assets running smoothlyschedule and execute work orders related to routine daily maintenanceoversee Maintenance Department inventory management and facility managementmonitor usage of tools and equipment and ensure tools are readily available for assigned tasksassign tasks to workers, coordinate and ensure completion of workmonitor use of PPE and other resources; recommend replacements when dueprovide assistance to managers and colleagues, especially in the areas of completing work orders assigned to Maintenancehandle miscellaneous maintenance tasks and respond to emergency maintenance requests as requiredcoordinate and complete daily maintenance tasks such as repairs and inspectionsoversee maintenance staff and provide necessary training to housekeeping where neededdevelop and implement maintenance procedurescarry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issuesplan, manage or physically execute all repair and installation activitiesupdate maintenance logs and report on daily activitiesmaintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulationsperform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repairmaintain the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properlyapply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roofpainting when old paint has become faded or chippedbasic IT experience in physical connections and routing of cablesgroundskeeping if the facility or other outdoor areas in need of maintenanceinterpersonal skills to interact with employees or guests of the property in a pleasant mannerattention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlookedphysical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building requirements:electrical and plumbingspecial focus on electrical and plumbing experience. Trade test or qualification will be a plusplumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problemselectrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the guest units or retreat s electricitycarpentry and constructionspecial focus on modular construction and carpentry experience. Trade test or qualification will be a plushands-on experience in working with carpentry materialsexcellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and constructionproficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)ability to read technical documents and drawingsgeneralrelevant experience in a similar position for at least 3 yearshigh school diplomaexcellent English language, Arabic is a pluscomputer literate in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Teamsexcellent verbal, writing, and listening skillsself-motivated and creative problem-solverability to work both autonomously and in a team setting
