Role Overview:


Support the Department of Finance s data analytics team in identifying users business requirements and collaborate with the technical team to translate these needs into clear technical requirements. Take an active role in overseeing workshops, engaging with business users, and converting identified business value into precise requirements. Monitor and conduct comprehensive market research to offer valuable insights crucial to the solution development process. From researching advanced system solutions to evaluating their impact, the Senior Business Analyst serves as meticulous planner, adept communicator, and top tier analyst.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Drive the identification of business requirements across various business units and assess substandard systems processes by analyzing real-time data.

  • Monitor technical business processes and devise forward-thinking system prototypes that promote efficiency and productivity across multiple levels.

  • Support, create and implement precise management plans for each project, emphasizing transparent communication at every level.

  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate comprehensive quality assurance at each stage of systems development. Determine and formulate user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability.

  • Partner with other stakeholder teams across the Department of Finance's business units to collaboratively develop necessary analysis and documentation, communicating effectively with production, managerial, and executive teams.

  • Supervise the Evaluation, analysis, and communication of systems requirements continuously, maintaining system processes and delivering monthly status reports to all relevant parties.

  • Author and update internal and external documentation, formally initiating and delivering requirements and documentation.

  • Monitor and conduct daily system analytics to enhance effectiveness and address any troubleshoot problems.

  • Cultivate meaningful and lasting relationships with partners to facilitate optimized systems integration and address questions and concerns from managers and executives by providing supporting research and recommendations.


Education Qualifications



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or Computer Science.

  • For Citizens: A minimum of 8 years of experience


Years of experience and required qualifications.



  • 8+ years of proven experience in business requirements documentation (BRD) for complex software systems.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in market research and proven analytical skills.

  • Practical experience in creating process documentation, executing process re-engineering and generating reports.

  • Excellent communication skills, adept at translating data into actionable insights.

  • Proficient in relevant Microsoft applications, particularly Visio.

  • Experience in Agile methodology and associated tools such as Jira, DevOps, etc.

  • Proven track record in project and user-testing management.

  • Demonstrated ability in developing innovative and impactful system solutions.

  • Extensive experience in data visualization techniques.

  • Highly proficient in technical writing.
