Manager - Commercial - FMCG| MAF Retail | Merchandising & Sourcing
ROLE SUMMARY
The Manager Commercial - Grocery is responsible for coordinating with buyers as well as supporting purchases for MAF Retail. The role holder is also responsible for assisting with selection and examining products that get to store shelves, in catalogues and online.
ROLE PROFILE
- Implement effective strategies for sourcing goods and maintaining desired stock levels
- Research and recommend new suppliers with long-term cost savings or quality improvement
- Prepare control strategies and implement methods to reduce shortages and overstocking through data analysis
- Engage in souring the best quality products for competitive prices aligned with MAF Retail's objectives
- Implement negotiation strategies to secure profitable deals and Identify profitable suppliers and initiate partnerships.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the sourcing function
- Control spending and build a culture of long-term saving on sourcing costs
- Oversee communication with suppliers on quality related issues and propose areas for improvement to ensure best quality products
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, 2+ years in retail.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Talent in negotiations and networking and Strong people management skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
- Strong English skills (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
