Job Description
- Oversee all aspects of events from conception to evaluation
- Working closely with all stakeholders to develop rich content, translating into event invitations, agendas, and discussion points
- Working closely with procurement and risk on reviewing, managing, and negotiating supplier contracts
- Evaluate the events calendar, looking specifically at issues such as return on investment and resources required.
- Prepare and maintain realistic forecasts and budgets
- Working closely with markets team to deploy the key event messages using the most effective channels
- Manage delivery of targeted external collateral (brochures, presentation decks, photography, videography, newsletters, website)
- Ensure all events messaging and collateral is in line with brand guidelines
- Setting up and steering internal project meetings to ensure smooth delivery of events
- Working closely with BD to ensure the right targets are identified and that all events data is held centrally on the CRM database
- On-site management of events including management of staff, briefings, and live trouble shooting
- Post-event and accounts reconciliation through event debriefs held with all stakeholders
- Working closely with BD on tracking and reporting of ROI on all events
- Contributing ideas to the improvement of internal operating processes
- Regularly meetings with KPMG global events team leads to ensure best practices are leveraged
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of professional event planning and management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Event Management (e.g., CMP, CSEP).
- Experience with large-scale events, conferences, or trade shows.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management.
Knowledge / Technical Skills
- Content development and corporate event management experience, delivering in-person, virtual and hybrid events
- A confident communicator with the ability to build business relationships at all levels, and with excellent writing and presentation skills
- Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work to strict deadlines, maintaining a calm and logical approach
- Strong project management skills
- Meticulous with excellent attention to detail
- Highly numerate
- Experience with the use of live polling/Q&A, App and other engagement tools
- A team player who's positive, proactive, solutions and results oriented
Manages the preparation, delivery, reporting and evaluation of client-facing and flagship initiatives and works closely with the C&M team as well as Partners and Directors to drive business growth and build client relationships.
