Job Summary:
The Manager - IT Network & Infrastructure will be tasked with the strategic
oversight and hands-on management of the organisations IT network and
infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced technical
expertise, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing
complex IT environments with a focus on both network infrastructure and
comprehensive IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead
the strategic design, installation, configuration, and management of the
organisation's network infrastructure, including multi-vendor firewalls
(Juniper, Fortinet, Smoothwall), Cisco, HP, and Aruba network switches, as
well as wireless systems from Aruba and Fortinet.
Oversee
and optimise server environments using IBM and HP systems, ensuring high
availability, performance, and scalability to meet business needs.
Administer
and maintain critical network services, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and
Active Directory, ensuring seamless and secure operations across the
entire IT landscape.
Manage
and secure access control systems using Suprema and Samsung technologies,
integrating these with the broader network security framework.
Administer
the Bosch Public Address System and a multi-platform CCTV system
(Hikvision, Partizan, Samsung), ensuring reliable communication and
comprehensive security coverage.
Lead
the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of Office 365, Azure
Cloud Services, and other critical applications, ensuring effective
integration and optimal utilisation across the organisation.
Implement
and manage enterprise-grade backup solutions with HP, QNAP, Veeam, and
Acronis systems, ensuring robust disaster recovery protocols and data
integrity.
Provide
advanced troubleshooting and resolution of network-related issues,
including connectivity disruptions, security breaches, and system
failures, to minimise downtime and ensure business continuity.
Collaborate
with IT vendors and service providers to ensure the timely procurement,
installation, and maintenance of network equipment, hardware upgrades, and
warranty services.
Develop
and enforce network security policies, including firewall configurations,
VPN management, and access controls, to safeguard organisational assets
and ensure compliance with security standards.
Manage
the virtualisation environments using Hyper-V and VMWare, ensuring optimal
resource allocation, system stability, and seamless disaster recovery.
Coordinate
and manage IT projects related to network upgrades, migrations, and new
technology deployments, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Provide
high-level user support and training, ensuring that staff can effectively
utilise network resources while adhering to security protocols.
Maintain
comprehensive documentation of network configurations, hardware
inventories, and software licenses, ensuring compliance and operational
readiness.
Qualifications:
Bachelors
or Masters degree in a technology-related field such as Computer Science,
Information Technology, or Network Engineering.
A
minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience in managing IT network
infrastructure, including firewalls, servers, switches, wireless systems,
access control, and backup solutions.
In-depth
knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Azure
Cloud Services, and Office 365 administration.
Advanced
expertise in network security, including multi-vendor firewall management,
VPN configurations, and access controls.
Proven
ability to manage complex network environments, troubleshoot intricate
network issues, and optimise IT infrastructure.
Strong
experience with network management tools, monitoring systems, and
virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare).
Excellent
communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical
concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
Strong
technical problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to
manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.Familiarity with
industry standards, network protocols, and best practices in IT infrastructure
management.
