1- Purpose of position:
The Manager, Social and Public Sector, will oversee and coordinate social development initiatives across socioeconomic development, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and strategic philanthropy. This role focuses on delivering high-quality insights, analytics, and research to support government entities, nonprofits, and corporate clients in achieving meaningful social outcomes. The Manager will bring expertise in coordinating stakeholder engagement, conducting social assessments, and performing impact evaluations to inform sustainable project design. By leveraging their skills, they will ensure the effective implementation of programs that drive positive social change. Ultimately, their goal is to foster sustainable development and enhance community well-being.
2- Primary responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Manager, Public & Social Sector are to:
- Take leadership / project management responsibility on a range of engagement types, understanding the client, their unique goals and objectives and how that translates to the positive development of public/social sector
- Establish and manage relationships with client leadership and executives
- Partner with client and Palladium leadership to scope project, its duration and relevant work plan
- Participate in cross-functional engagement teams to develop and deliver on strategic change within challenging organizational environments.
- Oversee project delivery, operations and day-to-day decisions
- Support the team and client to identify, mobilize and develop needed technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions in the public and social sectors
- Keep up to date with current local and international trends and how they can be applied in Saudi Arabia.
- Support senior management in identifying, training and mentoring junior team members and ensuring their learning and growth.
3- Reporting Requirements:
The role reports to the Director. Reporting requirements include:
- Attend all weekly meetings and other meetings as required
- Participate in regular project status updates to the project manager on client engagements
- Work with project manager or manager to compile development goals and regularly update activity against them
4- Relationships:
- Key relationships will be the role's manager as well as the wider Consulting team
- When working on a particular client project, there will be a designated project manager who the manager will be required to liaise closely with throughout the duration of the project
- Manager serves as the central liaison between the client, Palladium's senior leadership, vendors and all members of their project team.
5- Authority Levels:
- Approval of all client deliverables
- Budget approval
6- Minimum education and experience required:
- Min 8 years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Public Administration, Social Performance, International Development or similar required. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in consulting advisory to government, non-profit or social sector on strategies, plans, policies and research studies as well as delivery of development projects
- Experience in developing business opportunities and key account management across public and private sectors
- Excellent English and Arabic communication skills (verbal and written)
7- Key skills required:
- Proven ability to conduct industry, market research and articulate opinions.
- Strong experience in people management and the ability to demonstrate leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel to various regions of Saudi Arabia and internationally on occasion
- Strong presentation skills; business writing skills and project management skills
