Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Manufacturing App Support Specialist for one of our partners, a global leader in the chemical industry field.
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing App Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for manufacturing applications. This role ensures the efficient operation of software solutions critical to manufacturing processes, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with IT and manufacturing teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for manufacturing applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests as per the Service level Agreements (SLAs)
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential problems to prevent downtime
- Collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams to identify and implement improvements in application performance and reliability
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of support activities, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new manufacturing software applications and updates
- Manage user access and permissions for manufacturing applications in accordance with security protocols
- Develop and maintain incident response procedures and ensure timely communication during outages
- Participate in root cause analysis for critical issues and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with external vendors for support and maintenance of third-party applications
- Ensure that all application changes are tested thoroughly before implementation
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements in manufacturing software
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of manufacturing processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven 5+ years experience in supporting manufacturing applications in a production environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows
- Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in manufacturing IT
- Excellent written and verbal English language proficiency
- Skills:
- Manufacturing Apps Support: Understanding, experience and working knowledge in diagnosing and resolving technical issues with manufacturing software
- Knowledge of security protocols and data management practices
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Working effectively with Shared Services and cross functional teams, and external partners to ensure smooth service delivery
