Job Summary
MLG is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead and optimize our production operations. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in line with company standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a background in manufacturing processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement to achieve production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight: Manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure on-time and cost-effective production.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet MLG's quality standards, coordinating with the quality control team to address any issues.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Budget Management: Oversee the manufacturing budget, optimizing resources and controlling expenses.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and promote a safe working environment.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely procurement of materials.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, quality, and efficiency, using data to inform decision-making.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing management role, with a proven record of leading production teams and implementing process improvements.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and production planning software.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing teams, setting performance goals, and driving a culture of excellence.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field or additional certifications in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Experience with ERP systems and other manufacturing software.
