• Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical BIM Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing detailed 3D models of mechanical systems using BIM software, ensuring that these systems are accurately designed, coordinated, and documented throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality mechanical designs that meet client specifications and industry standards.

• Key Responsibilities:

Develop, update, and maintain 3D models for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and other BIM tools.

• Work closely with other disciplines to coordinate mechanical systems with architectural and structural elements, performing clash detection and resolving any conflicts in the BIM model.

Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication details, and as-built documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

• Generate accurate material takeoffs and schedules from the BIM model to assist with cost estimation and procurement.

Review and ensure the accuracy of models and drawings, adhering to project deadlines and quality standards.

• Provide technical support and guidance on BIM processes and best practices to other team members.

Ensure all BIM activities adhere to industry standards, company guidelines, and client requirements.

• Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, tools, and industry trends, and implement improvements where applicable.

• Qualifications:

Diploma or Bsc / MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.

• Certification in BIM or relevant software (e.g., Autodesk Revit) is preferred.

Minimum 5-7 of experience in mechanical drafting, with a strong focus on BIM.

• Experience in the construction or building services industry is a plus.

Expertise in BIM software, including Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks.

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).

Familiarity with clash detection tools and techniques.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.

* Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to mechanical systems and BIM.
