Mechanical Inspector

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team. The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical components, systems, and equipment meet specified standards and quality requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, analyzing mechanical systems, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

• Key Responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing:

• Perform thorough inspections of mechanical components, systems, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.

Utilize a range of measuring instruments, gauges, and testing equipment to assess mechanical specifications.

• Document inspection results, including any defects or non-conformance issues, and prepare detailed reports.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all mechanical products and systems meet required quality standards and specifications.

Identify and address any deviations from quality standards, providing recommendations for corrective actions.

• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement solutions.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive inspection records, including test results, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.

Prepare and present inspection findings and quality reports to management and relevant stakeholders.

Compliance and Standards: Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to mechanical inspection and quality assurance.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control procedures during all inspection activities.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other departments as needed.

• Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an Associates degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Familiarity with mechanical inspection tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment
