Role Description:
The Technical Office Manager will be responsible for technical drawing, budgeting, project management, and research. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, managing projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring efficient technical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Management: Direct and coordinate the technical office, ensuring collaboration across all engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality technical documents, designs, and plans on schedule.
Project Planning Expertise: Utilize Primavera and other project management tools to oversee project scheduling, planning, and cost control, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and within budgetary constraints.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment among project managers, engineers, and on-site teams, providing comprehensive support and guidance to meet and exceed project standards and expectations.
Technical Oversight: Ensure the development and review of technical outputs across all disciplines adhere to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively manage communication with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure streamlined project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of quality for all technical outputs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop technical staff across disciplines, promoting continuous learning and professional growth within the technical office.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Design background is a great asset.
Significant experience in technical management roles within the construction industry, with a comprehensive understanding of various engineering disciplines.
Demonstrated proficiency in project management software, specifically Primavera, for effective project planning, scheduling, and cost management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic project environment.
A strong commitment to quality, detail-oriented approach, and ability to thrive under pressure.
