The audio and media operator will be responsible for jobs related to audio and media post-production services. Primary responsibilities include preparing and delivering media content. This includes Pro Tools audio sessions, video content, and media packages (audio, video, subtitles, and closed captions). Candidate must be very proficient in Pro Tools within a post-production background. General proficiency in video types, SMPTE timecode, frame rates, codecs, and various video or audio file types is expected. Candidate must have a strong understanding, efficiency, and skillset in Avid Pro Tools, with some experience in operating non-linear video editors (example: Adobe Premiere) and the ability to understand subtitles and closed captions. Experience is required in working with all common audio formats, sample rates, video frame rates, including traditional multi-channel audio configurations (2.0, 5.1, 7.1). Attention to detail, excellent time management and a perfectionist mind-set is paramount in this role.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent trade-specific education
- 2+ years in audio post-production or media service projects for film and TV
- Experience with A/V editing software such as Pro Tools, Premiere, Final Cut Pro
- Thorough understanding of video, audio, subtitle, and closed captions
- Thorough understanding of SMPTE timecode and standard frame rates
- Excel and other MS Office application software
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve
- Detail-oriented, organized, and meticulous
- Ability to efficiently self-manage time and priorities
- Problem solver with a creative and innovative approach and ability to think out of the box
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Flexible to work from office 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM
