Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Coder at Forte Clinical Laboratory in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Medical Coder will monitor the insurance pay-outs, ensuring efficient operations, accurate billing, and excellent customer service. The Medical Coder will be critical in managing relationships with insurance companies and optimizing the reimbursement process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and coordinate the daily activities of the insurance.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of insurance claims and follow up on pending claims.
- Oversee the verification of patient insurance coverage and benefits.
- Manage and resolve insurance-related issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Train and mentor insurance staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve patient experience.
- Analyse and prepare insurance reports and metrics, implementing improvements as needed.
- Handle escalated patient inquiries and complaints related to insurance matters.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding insurance billing and coding.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical insurance billing and coding.
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, billing procedures, and coding standards.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in healthcare billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is a plus.
