Job Purpose
Direct and lead the medical sector to provide excellent health care support and services to patients.
Strategy:
- Develop medical strategies for the hospital in cooperation with the managing director of the hospital in line with the strategic objectives.
- Work to raise the level of medical service to achieve the goals of occupancy rates and return on investments
Budgets & Plans:
- Review needed capex from medical units and ensure that needs will reflect on increasing patients according to economic studies and compotators capabilities and include them in budget submitted annually.
- Plan for the Hospital TBH with the hospital management according to the expansions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversees the strategies and service plans for each medical unit.
- Organize monthly meetings with unit managers to assure that they are applying quality policies and procedures and that we are on top of KPIs from a financial perspective.
- Provide an action plan for Medical Units to achieve financial KPIs.
- Submitting proposals for improvement and development for the managing director in order to assure the quality of service.
- Responsible for the consultants Performance and their annual OPPE .
- Ensure that consultants are visiting their patients on daily basis
- Ensure that consultants are informed of cases admission at the hospital, and that the consultant is explaining medical condition for patient's family and any developments or complications.
- Ensure that consultants are informed as soon as the patients health condition is stabilized to arrange the discharge procedures.
- Responsible for Monthly evaluation of consultants, performance through traffic notes and medical file registration, Personal behavior by dealing with colleagues and patients.
- Follow-up on the registration of patients medical data within the medical files.
- Monitor long stay Cases, finding out the reasons from the registrars and the consultant and present a resolution for that.
- Meeting with patients families to inform them with new policies of the hospital, as well as to solve their problems.
Education, Experience and Skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in medicine.
- Master's degree (surgery or medicine) post graduate studies in hospital management.
- MBA or postgraduate degree is preferred
Experience and Skills:
- At least 10+ years at Management level, in a complex, fast moving environment within the medical/healthcare sector.
- Profit-orientated.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English.
- Customer focused, with strong emphasis on quality.
