Overview:As an MEP Engineer specializing in swimming pool and landscaping projects, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems involved in these specialized areas. Your expertise will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.
Develop detailed MEP designs for swimming pools and landscaping projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Collaborate with architects, landscape designers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall project designs
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems on-site, ensuring that work is completed according to design specifications and project timelines.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that all MEP components are procured, installed, and tested properly.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP installations to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.- Identify and address any defects or deficiencies in MEP systems, implementing necessary repairs or adjustments.
Ensure that all MEP work adheres to health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures as needed.- Promote a culture of safety on-site, providing training and guidance to project teams and contractors.
Provide technical expertise and support to project teams, resolving any technical issues related to MEP systems.- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in MEP engineering, particularly as they relate to swimming pools and landscaping.
Requirements:- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a specific focus on swimming pool and landscaping projects.
- Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and project management tools.
Strong understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as they apply to swimming pools and landscaping.- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, local building codes).
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse project teams and Vendors.
