Manage all MEP aspects of high-rise building projects, from initial planning and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to develop MEP design concepts and specifications that meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
Review and approve MEP drawings, plans, and shop drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance with design intent, and coordination with other disciplines.
Coordinate the procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems.
Monitor MEP construction activities to ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to identify and resolve MEP-related issues and ensure workmanship meets industry standards.
Manage MEP subcontractors and vendors, including bidding, selection, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation.
Implement value engineering initiatives and cost-saving measures to optimize MEP system performance and efficiency.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members, resolving MEP-related technical challenges and ensuring project objectives are met.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to address MEP-related queries, approvals, and inspections.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in MEP management, with a focus on high-rise building projects in the UAE or the Gulf region.
Proven track record of successfully managing MEP systems in high-rise buildings, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Thorough understanding of MEP design principles, codes, standards, and regulations applicable in the UAE.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels effectively.
Proficiency in MEP software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MEP-specific calculation software.
Familiarity with sustainability and green building principles, including LEED certification requirements, is desirable.
Professional certification or licensure in MEP engineering is advantageous.
