Job Description

Job Summary:

The Estimation & Business Development Engineer in Facility Management is responsible for generating accurate and competitive estimates for facility management projects, developing business strategies, and acquiring new clients. This role involves working closely with clients, operations teams, and management to ensure the successful delivery of facility management services that meet client needs and company standards.

  • Cost Estimation:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for facility management services, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand scope requirements.
Utilize estimating software and tools to compile comprehensive estimates.
  • Vendor Management
: Source and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Risk Assessment
: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Documentation
: Prepare and present estimation reports to management.
  • Maintain records of all estimations and correspondences for future reference.
  • Business Development
:
  • Market Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Analyze competitors and develop strategies to improve market positioning.
  • Client Acquisition:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and clients in the facility management sector.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and meetings.
  • Proposal Development:
Prepare and submit detailed and competitive proposals to prospective clients.
  • Develop promotional materials and presentations.
  • Sales Targets:
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and track progress against targets.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Collaboration:
Work closely with the project management and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide support during project handover to operations teams, ensuring all client requirements are met.
  • Client Management
: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the estimation and proposal phase.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Qualifications
:
  • Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in estimation, business development, or a related role in the facility management industry.
  • Skills:
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Certifications:
Relevant certifications in facility management or project management are a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (UPDA) License preferred.
  • Competencies:
Attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR7,
  • 00 - QAR9,000.00 per month
