We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced MEP Section Manager for our team in KSA.
Overview:
The MEP Section Manager will oversee all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for a given project. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of MEP services, from design through to installation, commissioning, and handover. The individual will lead a team of MEP engineers, subcontractors, and technicians, coordinating all MEP activities to meet project deadlines, quality standards, and budget requirements.
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee the MEP section of the project, ensuring alignment with project timelines, cost control, and quality standards.
- Manage the day-to-day MEP operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations for MEP installations.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance on MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other utilities.
- Collaborate with the design team to review drawings, specifications, and design changes, ensuring their feasibility and compliance with site requirements.
- Resolve technical issues related to the design, installation, and operation of MEP systems.
- Ensure that all MEP works are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Monitor and enforce quality control procedures for MEP installation, ensuring all work meets or exceeds the required standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and site audits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Assist in the procurement of MEP materials, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality.
- Monitor and control MEP budgets, track expenditures, and ensure that costs are within the approved limits.
- Identify and address any potential risks to the project schedule and budget, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and validation of all MEP systems in accordance with the project specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate the preparation of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and other documentation required for project handover.
- Ensure that the MEP systems are fully functional and compliant before project handover.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in MEP construction, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial role within a main contracting environment.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally in commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
- Familiarity with international MEP standards and local regulations.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
- Understanding of MEP design principles, commissioning, and quality control processes.
