China State Construction Middle East is recruiting MEP Technical Manager for a newly awarded large-scale project in Dubai, UAE.
Position Summary:
ensure the resolution of all conflicts in the designs and drawings of the Mechanical, Electrical and plumbing disciplines (in-house and subcontractors) in a timely, cost effective and comprehensive manner such that conflicts are identified and resolved accordingly. Assist the Engineer in formulating creative solutions for the design of jobs that reduce manpower requirements, cost and/or time.
Responsibilities:
- Considers creative solutions to job requirements (Design/Construction/Material) that would reduce manpower requirements, cost and time.
- Considers creative solutions to job requirements that would distinguish the company from other competitors.
- Researches the market for advanced construction technologies and creative solutions that would reduce manpower requirements, cost and time.
- Leads the Technical team
- Leads the Project Coordinators in the project to deliver the coordinated drawings on time with high quality.
- Updates the authority requirements in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the full drawing development of the assigned project.
- For Design/Build contracts, coordinates the activities of the consultant, client, and the company in order to develop the compliant design as per the client requirements and obtain the approval of the authorities in the shortest possible time frame and within the Job estimate developed by the Estimation department.
- Interfaces with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure the quick approval of drawings compliant with the job requirements and contract.
- Prepares drawing and material submittal log in line with the overall project schedule in coordination with the Planning function.
- Checks and corrects, in coordination with the MEP Estimator, any mistakes in the MEP Drawings.
- Checks and approves for the compatibility of the architectural, civil, MEP, and steel/cladding drawings and designs (both in-house and third party) and ensures the resolving of any incompatibilities in coordination with the relevant parties.
- Complete other works assigned by the supervisor and the company top management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- 15 Years of relevant work experience in managing projects with a particular focus on Hotel & Resorts developments
