Reporting to the Merchandiser Manager Middle East, you will have an opportunity to
contribute to the Maison strong development in the Middle East, through maintaining appropriate stock levels & assortments, in line with the commercial ambition & brand strategy, producing relevant reporting & business insights, as well providing support to the Retail stores & Wholesale partners:
Product:
- Assist in defining optimal assortments for new stores, exhibitions, and events aligned with sales targets & regularly reviewing existing assortments
- Novelties: coordinate the deployment of new launches, assist in setting appropriate forecasts
- Help build action plans for slow movers and send timely alerts on under-performers
- Communicate product news like price adjustments, new launches & status reviews
- Educate retail teams on replenishment processes, build awareness and foster transparency around merchandising topics
- Participate in launching the regional E-commerce platform
Retail Coordination:
- Provide daily sales support to stores on special orders, product enquiries and act as a product advisor to sales associates
- Follow up on existing orders with HQ & stores, raise alerts when necessary
- Coordinate high-jewellery viewings and rotation
- Act as an ad-hoc support for events, pop-up & activations
Supply Chain:
- Be the local counterpart of headquarters Supply & Merchandising teams along with the Merchandising Manager and clearly communicate the region's priorities, needs, projects & calendar
- Manage the product life cycle (discontinued, liquidated) & ensure proper phase-out and healthy inventories
- Monitor over-stock levels & suggest action plans
- Lead inter-store & regional stock rotation actions
- Maintain a close relationship with local & HQ logistics/warehouse teams and collaborate on merchandise movements, supply issues, cross-department projects
Business Analysis:
- Close monitoring of inventory levels & projection of supply needs while safeguarding the subsidiaries profitability & margins
- Participate in weekly/monthly reporting to HQ
- Produce relevant & detailed analysis on sales, product assortments, model stock efficiency & Pricing
- Ad-hoc Events reports
- Competitor intelligence
Wholesale:
- Update the back orders monthly and support with replenishments, availability checks
- Produce business reviews & update sell-in/sell-out reports on a monthly basis
- Assist in buying sessions
- Graduated with Master degree
- At least 2 years of previous relevant experience, in the luxury field or selective distribution preferably
- Great analytical & communication skills
- Retail acumen & a sales centric attitude
- Good command of English. Arabic & French a plus
- MS Office skills; SAP & Power-BI knowledge a plus
- Ability and flexibility to travel within the GCC
