Mada Center, founded in 2010, is an initiative that promotes digital inclusion and builds a technology-based community to meet the needs of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the elderly in Qatar and beyond. The center implements international best practices in assistive technology (AT) and digital accessibility. Mada aims to develop a sustainable model for providing AT and digital inclusion services for PWDs in Qatar and globally. The center also works to enhance ICT accessibility and raise awareness about the impact of Assistive Technology and ICT Accessibility on the lives of PWDs.

Role Description

This is a project based on-site role for a Mobile Application Developer at Mada Center located in Doha, Qatar. The Mobile Application Developer will be responsible for developing mobile applications using object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, specializing in iOS development, and android development.

Qualifications

1.Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Experience:

- Proven experience (5+ years) in mobile app development for iOS and/or Android platforms.

- Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App Store or the Android Market.

3. Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, Java, or React Native.

- Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.

- Familiarity with OOP design principles.

4. Tools and Technologies:

- Knowledge of UI/UX standards and guidelines for mobile applications.

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

5. Soft Skills:

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

6. Additional Desirable Qualifications:

- Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks.

- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

- Understanding of mobile app security best practices.
