Full Job Description
Food People have partnered with a KSA regional player in Modern Trade distribution in their search for an MT Sales Director based in KSA. This role will be responsible to manage, implement, develop and execute sales and business development strategies for the Modern Trade division in the KSA Retail market within the strategic context, vision and goals of the organisation. Attitude & resilience is a must have for this role, as well as the ability to manage a large team to success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop the sales annual plan and go to market approach for the Modern Trade division and anticipate on future trends.
- Deploy the annual plan to individual team members to drive the team towards set goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers.
- Secure long-term, high volume commitments within the retail chain accounts through strong relationships and excellent customer service levels.
- Advise on new products, based on market trends, which will lead to profitable growth.
- Ensure sales forecast is accurate to ensure optimum stock levels.
- Recruit and develop Sales talent based on set job profiles and ensure succession plan for managerial roles.
- Provide the team with the needed formal and informal training, coaching and mentoring to enrich their career path.
- Set and manage the annual Sales budget.
- Develop sales tools which the sales teams can use to maximise sales and employee productivity.
- Act as a role model in living the company purpose on daily basis.
KEY INGREDIENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- 15 years of sales or commercial experience within the FMCG or retail experience with at least 10 years managing diverse sales teams.
- Results focus, particularly profit and business performance orientation.
- Can be flexible on industry, doesn't have to come from an FMCG distributor.
- Well-developed leadership skills and the ability to influence, develop and motivate others.
- Fluent in Arabic & English.
