Modern Workplace Lead

Role Description:

We are looking for Workplace Lead with hands on experience and strong foundation in core Microsoft infrastructure technologies

At least 15 years hands-on expertise in strong foundation in core Microsoft infrastructure technologies with subject matter expertise in large scale deskside transformation and deployment projects where organizations have implemented large scale business impacting workplace transformation programs.

• Role Description:

Workplace Solution Architect/ End User Architect is a critical customer facing role and you will play a leading part in large scale workplace transformation and deployment projects for our customers globally.

• Have a strong foundation in core Microsoft infrastructure technologies, but more specifically you will be able to demonstrate prior experience and a level of subject matter expertise in large scale desktop transformation and deployment projects where organizations have implemented large scale business impacting workplace transformation programs.

Design life cycle processes including the recommendation, deployment, standardization, maintenance and replacement of current and emerging PC technologies.

• Engage with software and hardware vendors to address complex issues and develop strategic roadmaps.

Remain current on emerging and innovative technologies for end user computing.

• Accountable for developing High Level Architecture Blueprints that define the target architecture for new services

Contribute to and update bid, project, departmental and technical documents

• Advise customers on technology choices and options

Acting as a single point of contact for technical engagements

• Developing statements of work, supporting cost models and defining proof of concept engagements where appropriate

Extensive experience of Windows 10 upgrade projects

• Experience of integrating Office 365 or other cloud-based offerings into desktop environment

Experience with SCCM and Intune

• Experience in working with desktop encryption third party security products eg BitLocker etc

• Key Responsibilities:

Act as an expert, evangelist and architect building, proposing and demonstrating designs to customers.

• Engagement for Technical Solutions Preparation and Validation

Engagement for Technical Assessment / Recommendation

• Prepare model and process for rapid response and Problem Management

To build, guide and assist implementation teams in implementing Workplace solutions

• Build and Lead Virtual Community in Specific Technology

Tracking of new release and review features

• Learning and Capability Development

• Requirements:

10+ years experience and understanding of end user technology architectures, including infrastructure, security, data, network, security, devices and collaboration

• Bachelor's and/or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Architect level Certification Microsoft technologies, Azure
