Position Responsibilities:
The Network Architect supports company-wide objectives by architecting, designing and driving successful implementation of network transport that underpins the global business operations. Works closely with key stakeholders to develop strategies, gather requirements, recommend vendors/providers, and design end-to-end solutions.
The Network Architect is responsible for developing Enterprise-wide telecommunications strategies and architecture encompassing a wide breadth of transport topologies (WAN / MAN / LAN, WLAN, Satellite, Cellular), advanced services (Network optimization, server load balancing, QoS/RSVP) and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, multicast). The Network Architect collaborates with other architecture teams (telecom, server, client, security and application) during all phases of the infrastructure lifecycle.
Responsible for understanding and interpreting technical and business requirements pertaining to the application of telecommunications technology (voice, video and data) on a global basis. This includes participation in discovery, documentation, validation / refinement of the technical solution while considering opportunities re-use.
The Network Architect collaborates with the outsource Supplier(s) to communicate Disneys network strategy, architecture and standards and reviews the Supplier recommended solutions/projects to ensure the design meets the business needs. Also, monitors the suppliers adherence to strategy, architecture and standards during and after Supplier implementation.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent experience.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
Progressive data communications experience as a network architecture in large scale, high traffic environments on prem and cloud/virtual.
WAN/LAN network design, configuration, evaluation, problem resolution and project management experience
In depth understanding of networking technologies and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
Experience in developing and driving technical strategies and roadmaps in large, complex networking environments.
Able to collaborate with vendors, customers, and other IT organizations to create and publish ideas, processes, and technologies to increase efficiency, stability, and costs across the company.
Develop collaborative working relationships and teams to accomplish objectives
Advanced communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Thorough understanding of switched and routed network infrastructures including relevant protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF,
- 1d, 802.1x, 802.11i).
Excellent network analysis and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in documentation as well as creating and maintaining SOPs, maintenance plans, network diagrams, platform and configuration standards, etc.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with centralized network performance monitoring and management tools.
Experienced in complex enterprise-level network deployments including the creation of configurations and Methods of Procedures (MOPs) for Cisco, Palo Alto, or F5 devices.
Expertise in data center firewall, routing, switching, and load balancing platforms and technologies.
