Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team at Etihad Arena. The Network Engineer will support the IT Manager in managing the arena's network infrastructure, ensuring IT governance and compliance, and providing Level 1 support to the arena team. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency and security of our IT systems during events and day-to-day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to and knowledge in supporting the following technologies; Client Operating Systems, Server Operating Systems, Desktop/Laptop hardware, Server hardware, Mobile (IOS/Android) hardware and software
Significant experience with escalation support as well as reporting support analytics to management on a recurring basis.
Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations throughout the venue
Daily management of Support Ticketing queues including assignments, escalations, tracking and customer expectation management.
Provide Level 1 technical support for network-related issues to the arena team and event staff.
Intermediate Active Directory management including account creation, password resets and group administration.
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team when needed.
Assist with the setup and configuration of network devices and peripherals.
Assist the IT Manager in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security and data protection.
Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Work closely with the IT Manager and other IT staff to plan and execute IT projects.
Provide IT support during event
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network-related services and equipment.
Requirements:
Proven track record of managing and maintaining network infrastructures in a similar environment.
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
Expertise in data centre management and data governance
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
The ability to work a flexible schedule when required, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Establish and implement policies, processes, and procedures for the Arena's ICT function, and verify their effectiveness.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years work experience in Information Technology or related field

Cisco IOS network switching and routing incl VLAN/CoS/
F&B POS systems ETECH/Agilsys
Ticketing system VIVA Ticketing
CRM platforms
