Network Penetration Tester

Our client is seeking a talented Network Penetration Testing professional to join their dynamic cybersecurity team!

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience with a deep understanding of network security principles, techniques, and tools, with a proven track record of conducting successful penetration tests across a variety of network environments. As a Network Penetration Tester, you will be responsible for identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in network infrastructure, systems, and applications to assess the organization's security posture and recommend remediation measures. You will work closely with internal teams to conduct thorough penetration tests, document findings, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance the overall security posture.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive network penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in network infrastructure, systems, and applications.

2. Perform reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, and exploitation of network assets using a variety of tools and techniques.

3. Exploit identified vulnerabilities to gain unauthorized access to network resources and sensitive data.

4. Document and report penetration test findings, including detailed descriptions of vulnerabilities, their potential impact, and recommended remediation measures.

5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, developers, and system administrators to prioritize and address identified vulnerabilities.

6. Provide technical guidance and support to remediation efforts, including validating and verifying the effectiveness of security controls and counter-measures.

7. Stay up-to-date with the latest security vulnerabilities, threats, and attack techniques, and incorporate this knowledge into penetration testing methodologies and practices.

8. Contribute to the development and improvement of internal penetration testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Master's degree and relevant certifications are preferred.

2. Five+ years of proven experience in Middle East or wider markets such as Europe, UK, US etc. in conducting network penetration tests in enterprise environments, including experience with both internal and external testing methodologies.

3. Deep understanding of network protocols, architecture, and infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, routers, and switches.

4. Proficiency in using penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Nmap, Nessus, Burp Suite, and Wireshark.

5. Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques, as well as best practices for remediation and mitigation.

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to identify and exploit security weaknesses.

7. Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

8. Relevant certifications such as OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or GIAC GPEN (GIAC Penetration Tester) are preferred.
