JOB TITLE: Neurophysiology Technologist

ABOUT THE ROLE
neurophysiology technologists use specialized diagnostic equipment to record and evaluate the electrical activity of the brain and nerves. (This position must demonstrate a commitment of quality service to our patients, the public and co - workers)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnostic Procedure Development: Perform and evaluate diagnostic procedures such as Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP), and Repetitive Nerve Stimulation (RNS) to aid in the diagnosis of neurological conditions.
- Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments and monitor neurophysiological tests, ensuring accuracy and providing feedback to medical teams for further clinical decisions.
- Training and Education: Identify learning and development needs related to neurophysiology procedures, and provide training for staff and medical students to enhance their technical and clinical knowledge.
- Quality Improvement Initiatives: Engage in quality improvement activities related to neurophysiology services, contributing to enhanced patient outcomes and improved clinical procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all neurophysiological tests, outcomes, and relevant patient interactions, ensuring timely reporting to the medical team and department head.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Education: Degree in Neurophysiology Technology or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in neurophysiology.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Additional Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
