Job Description
Ensures that personal hygiene needs of patients are met as defined by the scope of practice: bathing, oral care, hair care, nail care, shaving, etc.
Responds to patient needs/call bells promptly within job requirements and refers questions/problems to the RN/NM.
Performs treatments and procedures as directed by the RN within their scope of practice at BMC (ambulation, warm packs, restraints, etc.).
Collects and records information pertinent to the patient s status: Takes vital signs, empties and measures urine bags as directed by RN.
Notifies the RN of significant changes in patient s condition.
Records nutritional intake as well as Intake and Output (I & O) balance.
Performs regular patient rounds.
Assists with the admission, transfer, and discharge of patient.
Prioritizes care, within their scope of practice, under the RN s direction, taking into consideration the patient s history and status.
Promotes and applies safety measures related to patient care.
Desired Skills
BT in Nursing is preferred
One year of experience as a nurse assistant is preferred
