Purpose:
Supervise line crews involved in the installation, maintenance, and repairs of underground and overhead electric transmission systems. Oversee equipment, materials, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Key Accountabilities:
- Supervise line crews in the installation, maintenance, and repairs of underground and overhead electric transmission systems.
- Evaluate crew member performance and implement additional training or corrective actions as needed to meet performance standards.
- Analyze operational methods and implement improved procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Establish and maintain safe electric line clearances with other utilities.
- Install high-voltage equipment, such as connectors, transformers, and switches in manholes and vaults, and secure equipment, cables, power poles, meters, and metering devices.
- Provide regular project status updates to supervisors, site engineers, and other stakeholders.Safety:
- Train, instruct, and mentor line-workers to ensure strict adherence to safety rules and procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transmission line work.
- Proven ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dedication to upholding safety standards.
Education and Certifications:
- Vocational training or a diploma in an electrical field.
