We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as an LCL Import and Export Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistical operations of Less than Container Load shipments, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods to and from international destinations. Your primary focus will be on managing all aspects of LCL shipments, from booking and documentation to customs clearance and final delivery, while maintaining strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and clients.
Coordinate the booking of LCL shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, export declarations, and import documentation.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely departure and arrival.- Communicate proactively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and updates.
Manage customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Resolve any issues or delays in shipment transit and delivery.
Negotiate rates with carriers and optimize shipping costs.- Maintain accurate records of shipments and update shipment status in the system.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the shipping process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in LCL logistics.
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in LCL import and export operations, ideally within a freight forwarding or logistics company.
Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and INCO terms.- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and data entry.- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling issues.
