Bank of Jordan, a leading financial institution in Jordan, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operational Risk Manager to join our team. As the Operational Risk Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across the bank's operations. You will play a vital role in implementing and maintaining a robust operational risk management framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

As the Operational Risk Manager, you will work closely with business units and stakeholders to identify potential risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and monitor the effectiveness of controls in place. You will also provide guidance and support on operational risk matters and promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an operational risk management framework, policies, and procedures
- Identify and assess operational risks across the bank's business lines and support functions
- Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational risk controls and implement improvements where necessary
- Provide guidance and support to business units on operational risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
- Conduct regular operational risk assessments and reporting, including key risk indicators (KRIs) and loss data
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and emerging trends in operational risk management
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, as well as regulatory bodies, on operational risk-related matters
- Prepare and present operational risk reports to senior management and the board of directors
- Develop and deliver training programs on operational risk awareness and management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications in risk management or related fields is a plus
- Minimum 10 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably within the banking industry
- Strong knowledge of operational risk management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience in developing and implementing operational risk management policies, procedures, and controls
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to operational risk management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for operational risk management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
