Job Summary:
As the Operations Analyst - Inflight Catering at gategroup, you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective project delivery and the successful execution of strategic initiatives. In this role you will monitor, review, and steer strategic in-flight catering operation projects, and pinpoint risks and opportunities that align with our group's strategy. You will collaborate with various departments, including Production, Catering, Finance, Planning, Supply Chain, training academy, PMO, which is essential to drive excellence, innovation, and profitability in the aviation catering industry.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the strategic vision of the operations, aligning project efforts with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Manage the effective project delivery of diverse projects across various departments including Catering Operations and Production, ensuring sound financial management, budgeting, and forecasting in collaboration with the finance department.
- Ensure value creation by identifying WIN WIN projects upsides and ensuring teams adhere to budgets.
- Coordinates with other functional areas, such as finance, planning, supply chain, and culinary operations, to align project strategies with overall business objectives.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all project activities.
- Prepares Qatar Aircraft Catering Company for the exponential growth expected in the next 5 years.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in project management, Engineering or Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic Lean and/or Six Sigma knowledge, (preferably managed Improvement Projects/Kaizens)
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of inflight catering industry with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
- Prior exposure to business or transformation functions is an advantage.
- Proven track record in leading projects in a multifaceted business environment.
- Lean knowledge is an advantage.
Language / Communication Skills & others:
- Fluency in English, written and spoken. Other languages are an advantage.
- Team player spirit.
