We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our Carpentry Division. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the carpentry factory, ensuring production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving operational efficiency.
- Plan, organize, and oversee all activities within the carpentry factory to meet production targets.
- Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Ensure that production schedules are adhered to and adjust as necessary to meet changing demands.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and product quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications and customer expectations.
- Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead and motivate a team of carpenters, supervisors, and support staff to achieve production goals.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed within the factory.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Provide safety training to employees and enforce safety policies consistently.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and finished products to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Monitor inventory usage and implement strategies to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
- 6. Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the factory budget, including labor costs, material expenses, and overheads.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements to maximize profitability.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a similar role within the carpentry manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Solid understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and safety standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and production management software.
