About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist specialized in retinal surgeries to join a dynamic team at one of the leading Hospitals in Qatar. The successful candidate will provide expert care in diagnosing and treating a variety of retinal conditions, contributing to our commitment to delivering outstanding patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of retinal disorders.
- Perform advanced retinal surgeries and procedures.
- Manage medical treatment plans for patients with retinal conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care.
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to advancements in retinal treatments.
- Provide education and mentorship to junior doctors and medical students.
- Ensure adherence to the highest standards of patient safety and clinical governance.
Qualifications:
- Full registration with the Medical Council in the home country.
- Extensive experience in both medical and surgical retinal care.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and academic research.
Job Experience:
At least five years in a similar position.
Education:
- Preferably Western Speciality/Board Certificate in Ophthalmology
- Bachelor's Degree in General Medicine
