Responsibilities:
Lens Cutting: Utilize lens cutting and edging equipment to shape and size prescription lenses accurately.
Frame Assembly: Assemble eyeglass frames, ensuring proper alignment and fit according to customer prescriptions and preferences.
Adjustments: Perform adjustments and repairs on eyeglasses to ensure comfort and proper vision for customers.
Lens Insertion: Carefully insert lenses into frames, taking into account the specific requirements of each prescription.
Quality Control: Inspect finished eyewear products to ensure they meet quality standards and prescription accuracy.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of eyeglass frames, lenses, and related optical supplies.
Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to understand their eyewear needs and provide guidance on frame selection and adjustments.
Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate optical equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and performance.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of customer orders, prescriptions, and inventory.
Requirements/Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years proven experience as an Optical Technician or in a similar role.
Familiarity with optical equipment and tools, including lens cutting and frame adjustment instruments.
Strong attention to detail and precision in handling delicate eyewear components.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
Knowledge of optical principles and lens types is advantageous.

Ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting.
